Endfield Tag Artist Issue: Does Weapon Pity Carry Over?
Regular weapon banners reset at the end. Tag Artist Issue carries 8th-issue pity progress and your issue total to same-name reruns; the 4th-issue pity resets.
Game updates can change the figures on this page. If something no longer matches what you see in-game, tell us.
Tag Artist Issue is the weapon banner that brought Artzy Tyrannical, a 6★ Handcannon, back on 24 September 2026. It belongs to a new weapon banner type called RE-Factor Issue, and the official Dreamscape of Wind and Snow update notes say it "has different rules from other Arsenal Issue banners".
Does weapon pity carry over in Arknights Endfield?
On regular weapon banners, no. On Tag Artist Issue, partly. The official [Deep Cold Issue] notice says the total number of issues toward its bonus rewards "will be reset once the banner ends, and will not carry over to other [Arsenal Issue] banners." The DEV Comm of 22 August 2026 sets different rules for RE-Factor Issue, and two of its three counters follow you to later banners with the same name:
- The 4th-issue 6★ guarantee does not carry over, not even to a later Tag Artist Issue.
- Progress toward the 8th-issue Rate-UP guarantee carries over. The guarantee itself can only trigger once across all banners of that name.
- Your running total of issues, which pays out the 10th and 18th issue bonuses, carries over too.
"Same name" is meant literally. The DEV Comm's own example is "[Tag Artist Issue] RE-Factor Issue #1, [Tag Artist Issue] RE-Factor Issue #2". The carry-over lines only mention future RE-Factor Issue banners of the same name, so they say nothing about a RE-Factor banner for a different weapon or about regular Arsenal Issue banners. Gryphline hasn't announced whether or when a Tag Artist Issue #2 will run.
Operator banners have their own RE-Factor rules. The Yvonne operator banner that opened the same day is covered in the pity section of the reroll guide; its numbers are for operator pulls and aren't repeated here.
When did the Tag Artist Issue run, and how did you unlock it?
It opened on 24 September 2026 at 12:00 server time. To use it, you needed to have completed the main mission [Chapter I Process I: Break the Siege]. Both points come from the official banner notice posted on 23 September.
That notice didn't give a closing date, only "Before version update and maintenance". The wiki's 2026 issue list puts the end at 15 October 2026, 05:59 on the Asia server and 14 October, 16:59 (UTC-5) on the Americas / Europe server, ahead of the [Sanctuary of Ink] update. Game8's banner list, updated 14 October, no longer shows it among the current banners.
Artzy Tyrannical's first rate-up, the [Graffiti Issue], opened on 24 February 2026 at 12:00 server time, the same day as a Yvonne banner, and Tag Artist Issue went live at the same hour as the RE-Factor operator banner featuring Yvonne. The wiki lists Yvonne as a Handcannon user. Neither the official notices nor the wiki's Artzy Tyrannical page ties the weapon to her.
Which 6★ weapons can the Tag Artist Issue give?
Each issue hands out 10 random weapons, and the DEV Comm says at least one of them will be 5★ or better. Artzy Tyrannical is the Rate-UP weapon. The DEV Comm says there is a "much higher chance" of getting it, without giving a percentage. The 6★ pool has seven weapons:
| 6★ weapon | Type | Rate-UP |
|---|---|---|
| Artzy Tyrannical | Handcannon | Yes |
| Wedge | Handcannon | No |
| Rapid Ascent | Sword | No |
| White Night Nova | Sword | No |
| JET | Polearm | No |
| Chivalric Virtues | Arts Unit | No |
| Sundered Prince | Greatsword | No |
The list matches the official [Graffiti Issue] notice from February weapon for weapon. The DEV Comm also says that "acquiring a weapon through [RE-Factor Issue] also gives the corresponding amount of bonus [AIC Quota]", so every weapon you pull here comes with some AIC Quota on top. The AIC factory guide lists where else AIC Quota comes from.
How many issues until Artzy Tyrannical is guaranteed?
Eight at most, as long as the one-time Rate-UP guarantee hasn't already been used on an earlier Tag Artist Issue. The official rule reads: "If no Rate-UP 6★ weapons are acquired in the first 7 issues, then a Rate-UP 6★ weapon is guaranteed on the 8th issue." At 10 weapons per issue, eight issues is 80 weapons, the same figure Game8 gives: "To guarantee Artzy Tyrannical, you will have to accumulate a total of 80 pulls." Game8's general Arsenal Issue guide adds that you "cannot do single pulls on Arsenal Issue banners", which fits the DEV Comm's description of each issue as 10 weapons.
Three rules decide what you're guaranteed and when:
- After 3 dry issues in a row: "If no 6★ weapons are acquired in 3 consecutive issues, then a 6★ weapon is guaranteed on the 4th issue." The wording is "3 consecutive issues", not "the first 3", so it isn't tied to your 4th issue overall. The 6★ can be any of the seven weapons above.
- Issue 8: the Rate-UP guarantee. It "can trigger 1 time across all RE-Factor Issue banners of the same name."
- Issue 18 in total: a bonus copy of the Rate-UP 6★, handed out on top of whatever the 18th issue itself gives you.
All three come from the DEV Comm. So on one banner, someone who has never used the 8th-issue guarantee gets Artzy Tyrannical by issue 8 at the latest, and another copy as the bonus at 18 issues in total.
The notices don't say whether pulling Artzy Tyrannical before issue 8 uses up the once-only guarantee, or only the guaranteed 8th issue does.
Which counters carry over to a later Tag Artist Issue, and which reset?
Each rule, in the DEV Comm's words (22 August 2026):
| Counter | Next Tag Artist Issue banner | Official wording |
|---|---|---|
| 4th-issue 6★ guarantee | Starts again from zero | "does not carry over to other issue banners (including future RE-Factor Issue banners of the same name)" |
| 8th-issue Rate-UP guarantee | Carries over; triggers once across all banners of the same name | "Attempts toward the guarantee will carry over to future RE-Factor Issue banners of the same name." |
| Accumulated attempts (10th and 18th bonuses) | Carries over | "The accumulated RE-Factor Issue attempts will carry over to future RE-Factor Issue banners of the same name." |
An example, with made-up numbers: you open 3 issues on Tag Artist Issue #1 and get no 6★ at all. Your next issue on #1 would be a guaranteed 6★. If #1 closes before you open it, that streak is gone, and #2 starts the 4th-issue count from zero. Read literally, the other two counters come with you: 3 of 8 toward the Rate-UP guarantee, and 3 issues toward the total of 10 that pays out the crate.
What do the 10th and 18th issues give?
The DEV Comm lists two bonuses based on your total issues: at 10, "the current banner's [Arms Offering Crate]×1", and at 18, "the current banner's Rate-UP 6★ Weapon×1". After that, "for every 8 RE-Factor Issue attempts, you will alternately receive these bonuses". The official banner notice names them as "[Arms OC: Tag Artist] or [Artzy Tyrannical (Handcannon)] in alternating order". Counting forward by 8:
| Total issues | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 10 | Arms OC: Tag Artist |
| 18 | Artzy Tyrannical |
| 26 | Arms OC: Tag Artist |
| 34 | Artzy Tyrannical |
The 26 and 34 rows are worked out from the "every 8" line. The DEV Comm doesn't list them one by one. Because the total carries over, those thresholds count issues from every Tag Artist Issue banner you've used, not just the current one.
Neither official post lists what you can pick from Arms OC: Tag Artist. Open the crate's detail screen in-game to see its contents. For the full rules text, the DEV Comm points to the in-game [Acquisition Center - Arsenal Exchange].
How is this different from Deep Cold Issue and other Arsenal Issues?
[Deep Cold Issue] is the regular weapon banner that opened in the same update. The update notes say it opens after the version update and "ends after 3 [Chartered Headhunting] banners (starting from [Winter Hunt])". Winter Hunt itself ended on 30 September 2026 at 11:59 server time, so Deep Cold Issue outlasts it. The October update's regular weapon banner, [Seal of Jade Issue], uses the same rule, counting from [Rejuvenation]. Side by side:
| [Deep Cold Issue] (regular Arsenal Issue) | [Tag Artist Issue] (RE-Factor Issue) | |
|---|---|---|
| When it ends | After 3 Chartered banners, starting from [Winter Hunt] (official) | "Before version update and maintenance" (official); 15 Oct 2026 Asia / 14 Oct Americas & Europe (wiki) |
| Bonus milestones | Crate and Rate-UP 6★ in alternating order after "a set number of issues" (official, no numbers given). The wiki gives 10th, 18th, then every 8 | 10th crate, 18th Rate-UP 6★, then alternating every 8 (official) |
| Issue total when the banner ends | Reset, and not carried to other Arsenal Issue banners (official) | Carried to future banners of the same name (official) |
| 8th-issue Rate-UP guarantee | "does not carry over to other issue banners and will be reset when the issue ends" (wiki) | Progress carried to banners of the same name; triggers once (official) |
The official notices don't say whether issues opened on a regular Arsenal Issue, such as February's [Graffiti Issue], [Deep Cold Issue] or October's [Seal of Jade Issue], count toward Tag Artist Issue.
PCGamesN's pity page, last updated 22 January 2026, says "These pity milestones don't carry over". It predates the 22 August DEV Comm and doesn't mention RE-Factor Issue.
Where Arsenal Tickets come from, and what an issue costs
Weapon issues are paid for with Arsenal Tickets. The Deep Cold notice says "you can spend [Arsenal Tickets] to apply for an issue", and adds that the same tickets can also be used to buy weapons directly. The main sources:
- Operator pulls. The official [Winter Hunt] and [Rejuvenation] notices say a 6★ operator gives 2,000 Arsenal Tickets, a 5★ gives 200 and a 4★ gives 20, and that "every headhunting attempt for operators also gives [Arsenal Tickets]."
- Origeometry. The wiki's Arsenal Ticket page gives the exchange as 1 Origeometry to 25 Arsenal Tickets.
For the price, the wiki says a regular Arsenal Issue costs 1,980 Arsenal Tickets, or an Issue Cert instead. Game8 says "Each Arsenal Issue almost always costs 1980 Arsenal Tickets." Both are describing regular weapon banners. Neither the DEV Comm nor the Tag Artist notice gives a price for a RE-Factor Issue, so look at the cost shown on the issue button before you plan around 1,980.
