The Endfield Frontier Survey is officially a sub-division of Endfield Industries, but operationally it functions as a distinct culture. Where the corporate Industries values structure and accountability, the Frontier Survey selects for a specific type of operator: someone willing to spend three weeks in deep wilderness, alone, mapping anomalies that don't appear on any satellite scan.
The Survey produces the game's endgame content scaffolding: the deepest dungeons, the Eternal Crucible bosses, the anomaly contracts that gate the highest-difficulty content. Their operators tend toward ice and long-range physical builds — the kind of kit that wins long fights against single high-HP targets rather than wave clear.
Lore-wise the Survey is also where players will encounter the fragments of Talos II's pre-colonial history: the alien ruins, the bioluminescent ecology, the things that suggest the planet was not always uninhabited. This is the faction whose stories take the longest to deliver but have the biggest payoff. The launch-window operators repping the Survey are Ines — long-range ice sniper, the textbook anomaly-contract carry — and Hoderi, the recon-class who handles the on-foot exploration legwork.
